What to Expect

Please expect to be greeted with unconditional acceptance by human and animal alike, to be welcomed into the beauty that is Restoration Ranch, to be able to breathe, to find relaxation and to leave filled with hope and a smile on your face.

The weather can change rapidly in Vermont, so we recommend wearing layers. During regular ranch hours, please wear closed-toed and closed-heeled shoes.

Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen when appropriate and a hat if needed.

Please bring a camera - pictures are a wonderful way to document you and your child's journey here.

Clothing and Equipment for the participant

Shoes/boots with closed toes and closed heels are required. Shoes/boots with little or no tread and a heel are recommended. Often we have extras on hand, so let us know if you don't have this type of shoe/boot prior to your visit and we will see if we can help you out.

Long pants are recommended for riding.

Nothing is permitted to be hanging down around the neck or tied around the waist while riding.

Vermont weather is ever changing and layered clothing is always a good idea.

To promote individual responsibility, we recommend that kids bring their own water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray.

If you have your own riding helmet, please bring that along with you.
